The GloHealth Tailteann Interprovincial Track & Field Championships were held in Morton Stadium on Friday 19th June. The Club had 4 athletes competing at this prestigious event for their school, Thurles CBS & the Munster Schools team on the day. David Ryan won the Boys Long Jump well out of his age with a leap of 6.77m & jumped into the history books when he was awarded the Michael Farnan Memorial Trophy for the Best athlete in the Long Jump event on the day. The silver medal went to his older brother Daniel  who was 5cm behind him with a jump of 6.72m. Thurles CBS finished the day as 2nd best School of the Championships, just 1 point behind Belfast Royal Academy with other Thurles CBS athletes  Sean Mockler (5th in the Discus & 6th in the Hammer) & Liam McDonagh (4th in Boys 3km Walk) competing well & adding to their school scores & both being under the age for the next two years. Well done to all 4 athletes, a great achievement to represent your school & province.
