Farewell to the Milk Quota
North Tipperary Macra na Feirme’s Young Farmers Discussion Group help an event last Thursday to mark the abolition of Milk Quotas on April 1. The event was called Farewell to the Millk Quota and was held on the Farm of Aidan and Mary Power Templederry, The young Farmers viewed Powers Robotic Milking machine and were later addressed by Mr Jackie Cahill former President of the ICMSA. Mr Cahill urged young farmers not to take on too much debt and discussed the future of Dairying in Ireland. This was followed by a questions and Answers session.
