Saturday 15th November 2014 : How privileged is the Tipperary Excel and indeed the people of Tipperary Town to have the one and only Phil Coulter grace the stage of the Simon Ryan Theatre this Saturday coming,15th November 2014. ?! As a result of his unique talent and… stellar musical career, Phil Coulter has truly earned his place in the Pantheon of Irish Musicians. He has performed with everyone from James Galway and the London Symphony Orchestra to Nanci Griffith and The Blue Moon Orchestra, not to mention Henry Mancini, Elmer Bernstein and Quincy Jones. Phil Coulter has written at least four titles that can be added to the list of Great Irish Songs – the anthems ‘The Town I Loved So Well’ , ‘Ireland’s Call’ ,the haunting ‘Scorn Not His Simplicity’ and ‘Steal Away’. Saturday, 22nd November 2014 : The American Wrestling RoadshowComes To Town. Wrestling Superstars are taking a break from their tours of America, Europe, Japan & Mexico to take part in a giant one-off extravaganza in County Tipperary.The Tipperary Excel is the venue for this year’s must-see event where fans will have the chance to witness the passion of dedicated athletes perfecting their craft.Wrestling Superstars will collide in an epic encounter inside the ring that’ll grip the audience’s attention like nothing you have seen before. The spectacular event takes place onNovember 22nd with doors opening at 7.30pm and show time at 8.00pm. Spectators will get the chance to get up close and personal with their favourite stars.  This is a fantastic chance to have a great night out with friends and family at an affordable price. The action, excitement and fun cannot be matched. In recent year’s stars such as Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, Mason Ryan and of course Ireland’s own Sheamus have appeared in similar venues throughout the country. This bone-crunching event is catered towards kids both young and old! The non-violent evening is the perfect family bonding experience, as the good guys take on the baddies.Tickets are expected to sell out fast as people from all across the country will flock to Tipperary Town to see scenes usually only witnessed on the television screen.

TIPPERARY EXCEL ART GALLERY
 
Tipperary Excel Art Gallery is delighted to be hosting award winning Lisa Griffin’s first solo exhibition entitled “ LABYRINTHLissa is a self-taught fine art photographer and a native of Tipperary. The exhibition opens on 21st November 201 and runs till 12th December 2014 . Multi award-winning photographer, Lisa Griffin, will launch her first solo exhibition, Labyrinth, 7.30pm, Friday November 21, at the Excel Theatre Gallery in Tipperary Town. In 2014 Lisa was awarded a degree in Fine Art, specialising in Printing Making through photography, from the Centre of Creative Arts and Media, Galway. While still a student at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Lisa was given her own portfolio page at Vogue Italia and three of her photographs were shortlisted, with one awarded a bronze medal, in the 2013 Irish Times Amateur Photographer of the Year Award Since graduation, in August 2014 Lisa has been awarded a Gold Medal in the “Shoot the Face’ section of ‘Shoot the Frame’ competition, a US International Photographic Competition, for both amateur and professional photographers. The Art Gallery is open Monday-Friday with some restriction on Monday and Tuesday morning.
