Tipperary’s most influential urged to play their part with ConnectIreland
Opportunity at ‘Who to Talk To’ event to help attract overseas jobs into the county
TIPPERARY’S most successful entrepreneurs, start-up business owners and support agency representatives are all being encouraged to play their part in attracting overseas companies to the county and earn up to €1,500 per job rewards through a new initiative which is edging ever closer to its first 1,000 jobs for Ireland tally.
ConnectIreland has worked with Irish people all over the globe to bring close to 20 overseas firms to Ireland over the past two years. Now Tipperary’s most enterprising business people attending the imminent ‘Who To Talk To’ event are being encouraged to play their part in bringing jobs to the region.
Tipperary is ideally positioned to attract foreign direct investment, according to ConnectIreland’s James Steele who will deliver a series of short presentations at the one day event at LIT Thurles on September 10.
“Overseas companies locating in Ireland want a skilled workforce; they want an accessible location and they want a quality of life for their staff. Tipperary ticks all the boxes,” Steele said.
“We look forward to interacting with Tipperary’s most innovative business people at ‘Who To Talk To’ and getting them involved. ConnectIreland is all about talking to others, making connections, selling Ireland and attracting business looking for a European hub into counties such as Tipperary.
“If people know of a company that wants to start a European operation, or to set up a new business from scratch, they just need to let us know. They then become a ‘Connector’. Our team works in partnership with the IDA, contacts the company and we take it from there.
“If the company introduced begins to do business, we pay the Connector up to €1,500 per job in rewards. The potential for job creation in Tipperary is immense and we’ll be speaking to a captive, enthusiastic and ideally placed audience at this event,” Steele concluded.
ConnectIreland staff will also host an information stand at the event where delegates can sign up as Connectors and learn how they can play their part in attracting expanding global firms into Tipperary. To learn more about ConnectIreland, log on to www.connectireland.com
