Now Brendan Cummins is Gone- Corrigan Brothers 2013.
Ah he was some machine
Kept 22 sheets clean
In championship hurlin’
That is just supreme
Sure he won every prize
He saw the lows and highs
73 championship games
With Tipperary’s boys
Savin’ more than his share
He seemed to glide through the air
Many a forward said
It’s just not fair
Oh the shots were flakin’
And the crowd were shakin’
They were all amazed
The saves he was makin
And Now Brendan Cummin’s gone
Now Brendan Cummin’s gone
Time after Time
His puck out’s were sublime
They’d be up on the opponents
Twenty metre line
He didn’t want applause, didn’t hear the roars
He battled every time for Tipperary’ cause
In every hurling ground,
his saves in every round
He passed out Christy Ring,
In championship reknown,
Oh when balls were breaking,
and goals were for the taking
We knew Brendan Cummins
would be doing the saving
And Now Brendan Cummin’s gone
Now Brendan Cummin’s gone
He knocked us out i said
And Now Brendan Cummin’s gone
With all his saving, And Now Brendan Cummin’s gone
A living legend
A living legend
And Now Brendan Cummin’s gone
Now Brendan Cummin’s gone
