Networking, mentoring and sound advice for female entrepreneurs at National Women’s Enterprise Day

National Women’s Enterprise Day is on October 16 and 17th

Women who are running or managing small businesses are being invited by Tipperary North County Enterprise Board to attend National Women’s Enterprise Day 2013, which is taking place on October 16th and 17th at the Heritage Hotel in Portlaoise.   Keynote speakers at this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day include Ramona Nicholas, Founder of Cara Pharmacy Group and RTE Dragons’ Den panellist.

Formal Networking Events will be held on both days of the conference, with Caitlin O’Connor facilitating “Accelerating Performance, Networking and Referral Strategies” while Catherine Moonan will give advice on how to achieve the “Perfect Pitch”.

Rita Guinan, CEO of Tipperary North CEB said: “Tipperary North CEB supports the promotion of female entrepreneurship and the development of micro and small businesses at local level.  Whether you are thinking of starting a new business or wish to expand your existing business, Tipperary North County Enterprise Board can provide advice, information and guidance as to what assistance and supports are available to you.”

Mentors sharing advice on the day include John Clarke, Ron Connell, Margaret Daly, Barra Flynn, Sandra Hennessy, Suzanne Hoey, Gillian Horan, Elaine Hyland, Evan Mangan, Rob Marr, Theresa Mulvihill and Yvonne Scully.

Co-funded by the European Social Fund with support from the Department of Justice and Equality through the Equality for Women measure, the aim of National Women’s Enterprise Day is to give national recognition to the role of female entrepreneurship.

The conference fee of €100 allows attendance at the half day conference on Wednesday October 16th, including conference supper and the full day conference, including lunch, on Thursday 17th October. Delegates can also pre-book a 30 minute mentor session, free of charge.
