Tipperary Link4Life SafeTALK “Suicide Alertness for Everyone” Workshop in Roscrea
As part of the new Tipperary Link 4 Life initiative, North Tipperary Sports Partnership in association with the HSE have organised a:
SafeTALK “Suicide Alertness for Everyone” Workshop on Tuesday 1stOctober 2013 from 9.30am to 2pm in the Rackethall House Hotel, Roscrea.
- At this workshop, learn how to
- provide basic and practical help to persons with thoughts of suicide.
- prepare to be a suicide alert helper
- be aware that opportunities to help someone at risk are often missed, dismissed and avoided.
- Use the awareness of TALK steps (Tell, Ask, Listen and Keep-safe)
- Be able to activate a suicide alert.
As part of keep-safe, you connect the person with thoughts of suicide to someone trained in suicide intervention (ASIST). The ASIST carer completes the helping process or connects the person to further supports.

Registration fee €5 which includes tea/coffee.
All participants will receive a certificate on the successful completion of the workshop.
