Roy Keane on scouting mission forTipperary team members
Roy Keane is asking the people of Tipperary to join his favourite team during May: not Sunderland or Manchester United but the team who will make this the 11th Annual Shades fundraiser for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind a big success. Roy’s favourite Charity desperately need funds in order to meet increased demand for their Guide Dogs for vision impaired persons and their Assistance Dogs for families of children with autism. The organisation has waiting lists of up to three years and is seeking to raise over €4million this year to provide services which really do change lives.
Launching the campaign at the Irish Guide Dogs HQ surrounded by dogs and clients, Roy praised the commitment of the volunteers whom he said inspired him more than many of the famous faces he has played for or with. He added “ Guide Dogs is a great organisation which is dedicated to helping people, right now they need the extra help of volunteers nationwide and are looking to companies and individuals to help with Shades collections in their area during the month of May.
