Clonoulty Rossmore Vintage Club AGM

The Annual General Meeting of Clonoulty- Rossmore Vintage Clubwas held on the Thursday the 21st March 2013 in Clonoulty Hall. 

In the Chairman’s address Liam O’Dwyer thanked all the officers and members for their help during the last year. In the present economic climate it was a good achievement to be in able to give a donation of €12,000 to South Tipperary Hospice Movement last year. He expressed his thanks to the public for all their financial contributions. He also wished to thank ClonoultyRossmore GAA for the use of their field and facilities due to the bad weather we had to move from Joe and Helen Hammersley’sfield that have always made available to us in the past. Liam encouraged members to keep trying to come up with fundraising ideas throughout the year. He also asked members to keep in mind that at this year’s vintage rally we will have a second field of trade stands;we need to start approaching suitable exhibitors as the stands will have to be booked well in advance.The rally will be on Sunday the 18th August 2013.

We will have a bucket collection on Saturday the 6thJulyin Cashel, Thurles and Tipperary and avintage car and tractor fun run followed by barbeque (in Eddie’s Bar) on Sunday the 7th July 2013 starting in Clonoulty Village at 12.30pm . All volunteers willing to help at the bucket should contact any of the committee members below.

Judy Hayes gave her usual detailed secretarial report on all the meetings held throughout the year highlighting the milestones in chronological order.

The Treasurer prepared an Income and Expenditure Account for the year which was presented to the meeting, Trish Mulhall was praised for all her hard work and her diligent financial control.

The PROs provided a scrapbook of all the promotion work carried out throughout the year. All the local papers, The Tipperary Star, The Nationalist, Tipperary Tattler and South Tipp Today had given great support and published numerous articles and photographs. The Irish Independent, Irish Vintage Sceneand Farmers Journal also provided national publicity. Both local radios gave us hours of airwave coverage through programme discussions and notice boards.We want to express a thank South Tipperary Development Company whom awarded us sponsorship with Tipp FM whose road caster was at the rally and proved very popular we were also given extensive coverage on the station leading up to the rally.Thanks were also expressed to all the local parish churches for reading out mass notices and including us on their websites where available. Longfield Landscapes were thanked for sponsoring our website www.clonoultyrossmore vintage.com. The use of the internet is providing useful publicity through our web page, face book (managed by Billy Maher) and notice boards we got a lot of enquiries and exhibitors.
