Man 1, Bank 0 at The Source Thurles
Patrick Combs returns to Irelandwith his smash hit one-man show Man 1, Bank 0 after an extensive tour of the country in 2011 telling his most fascinating real life story. He will visit 10 more venues on his Spring 2012 tour and luckily, The Source Arts Centre in Thurles is one of them on Thursday 15th March at 8pm.
This is an amazing-but-true story of how Combs deposited a $95,000 junk-mail cheque into his own bank account and about what happens after his bank cashes the enormous cheque. The following to name a few: angry banking officers threaten Combs with jail time, death and much more and the incident extracts America’s leading authority on banking out of retirement! Outrageously funny and dramatic, the story quickly becomes a staggering David V’s Goliath-like real-life adventure.
Not only is Man 1, Bank 0 ninety minutes of nonstop laughter, it’s brilliantly told with no villains or heroes, just someone that everyone can relate to. So essentially Patrick did something stupid, got into a whole lot of trouble for it and lived to tell the tale. A fantastic night of laughs is promised.
“…This is that rarity, a show that actually lives up to it’s publicity….an extraordinary and highly entertaining evening…..and the beauty of it is that it’s all true….” ***** Irish Mail on Sunday, June 2011
