North Tipperary Macra Na Feirme

The Chairman of North Tipperary Macra na Feirme, Mr Tim Maher would like to take this opportunity to wish all members and supporters a Happy and Successful New Year. He said that the Macra organisation in North Tipperary is thriving and membership currently stands at a ten year high. Macra membership is open to all aged between 17-35 and the New Year is an ideal time to join as lots of events are being planned for the next couple of months. The next Executive meeting of North Tipperary Macra na Feirme will take place in the Clodagh Bar, Borrisoleigh on Friday night 20 January. Aglish Macra na Feirme recently held their A.G.M. and the following were elected for the coming year.
Chairperson is Eamonn Murphy and Secretary is Darren King. The club want to thank all who supported the quiz and sale of work held on the 17th December. Next club meeting is this Thursday 12th Jan at 9pm in the Village Inn. Aglish Macra will represent North Tipperary in the National Rounds of the indoor soccer Competition.
Enjoyed the Club Christmas night out and plans for 2012 will be discussed at their club meeting Friday 13th.
Devils Bit Macra will host a games night next friday night, 13 January in Michael Finn’s, Templemore. All neighbouring clubs have been invited and all are welcome. Devils Bit will enter a team in the county round of the Macra debating Competition to be held in Borrisoleigh on January 20. The Club will host a Table Quiz on friday night 27 January at 9.30 in Michael Finns, Templemore. All welcome. The club is also organising a recruitment drive and anyone aged 17-35 is welcome to join in the Templemore, Thurles and Roscrea areas.
Members of Moyne Macra travelled to Italy on a Skiing trip this week. They will also be taking part in the debating Competition on January 20.
Held Christmas Party and 5 travelled to the South Tipp New Years Ball in Clonmel.
Newport Macra member Thomas Small represented North Tipperary in the National finals of the Welding Competition. The club will celebrate their 60 Anniversary this year and preparations are beginning in earnest for a Dinner Dance on the 3rd March. Next Club meeting is Friday 13th January in O’Sullivans, Newport.
