The Woodies DIY AAI Novice & Juvenile Uneven Age Cross Country Championships took place in the Curragh, Co. Kildare on Sunday 11th December. The Club had two athletes competing on the day, Kieren Hennessy & Shauna Hayden. Kieren competed as part of the Tipperary Boys U/15 team & he finished in 99th place in the 3,500m race with the Tipperary team coming 7th overall in the Inter-County competition. Shauna represented Tipperary in the Girls U/17 4500m race finishing in 62nd place with the Tipperary team placing 5th overall. Well done to both athletes on their great performances.

Upcoming Fixtures are below:-

Friday 16th December – Club’s Annual Christmas Party from 8pm to 11pm in Pouldine School Hall. All Club members & parents are welcome to attend.

Sunday 18th December – Tipperary Senior & Junior Cross Country Championships in Dundrum.

Sunday January 15th – Munster Juvenile Inter –County Relays &   Senior/Junior Cross Country Championships in Beaufort, Co. Kerry at 12 noon.

The Club will hold its Annual Whist Drive on Tuesday 20th December at 8pm in Pouldine School Hall. Light refreshments will be served on the night with spot prizes galore.

Moycarkey Borris Community Games will hold their AGM in the Community Hall, Two Mile Borris on Wednesday 14th December at 8pm. All interested persons are welcome to attend.

Cross Country Training takes place every Tuesday & Thursday evenings at 7.30pm in the Middlepiece, Two Mile Borris. New athletes & help are most welcome.
