Munster Intermediate
Dynampha Ryan had a brilliant run leading home the county in 3rd position. Dynampha also collected the gold medals in the county team category. Kevan Moore had a great run finishing in 6th position in the men’s race, Donal Keane, Martin Keane and Graham Butler completed the team finishing in 17th, 18th and 49th positions. The four lads combined to win the silver medals in the inter club category. Kevin, Donal and Martin were on the county team who won the gold medals in the inter county category. Michael Moore, Ruaidhri Devitt and Liam Butler finished in 56th, 58 and 67th positions. The Munster masters will take place next Sunday.
Last Sunday we had 16 juveniles competing in the Munster uneven age cross country championships. The performance of the day came from Joshua O’Dwyer in the boys U/11 where he won the Munster title in fine style and led the county team to silver medals.Our club team was 5th with Stehen Browne our next finisher followed by Ben Loughman and Aaron Renehan and as the three lads are U/10s this was a good result. David Carroll and Philip Gantly also ran well on their Debut over the 1500m distance. In the Girls U/9 Eva O’Dwyer led our team home in 21st and was on the Co. team that won the bronze medals she was well supported by Ellen Gantly Caoibhe McCormac and Claire Kelly they were out of the medals. The boys U/9 were led home by Stephen Ferncombe in 22nd and he was on the Co. team that won the silver medals Michael Hourigan ran well in 27th, Danny O’Shea and Philip Treacy also ran well but the team was out of the medals. Jean Kelly was second schorer on the Girls U/13 Co. team but they were out of the medals.Eimear Loughman was a fine 11th in the girls U/15 and made the Munster squad tor the all Ireland in the Curragh.
