South East Careers Expo Offers over 200 Jobs to Region

A major ‘Jobs and Careers Expo’ has been announced in Waterford today. Organised by Waterford Chamber of Commerce the Expo has over 200 jobs on offer in a broad range of business sectors in Waterford and the South East.

The Jobs and Careers Expo will be held on Friday 21st October from 9.30am to 7pm at the Tower Hotel, Waterford. The Expo will have over 20 blue chip companies from around the region participating including Genzyme, Glanbia, Statestreet, Sunlife Financial, Schivo Group, KPMG and lots more.

Announcing the Jobs & Careers Expo, President of Waterford Chamber Anne Marie Caulfield said “we are delighted to announce a Careers Expo for Waterford and the South East which has over 200 jobs on offer. The broad range of Companies participating means that there are job opportunities across a very wide range of sectors. Free to all jobs seekers we would encourage all job seekers to attend this event and to bring plenty of copies of their CV.s. For those who need help in setting out their CV.s or getting ready for interview there will be some great advice from HR Professionals in a series of free seminars running throughout the day.

Anne Marie continued “the South East has had its share of hardship on the jobs front over the last year and this initiative is a real stepping stone in helping getting the region back to work. The region has lots of companies that are doing very well despite the recession and who have lots of career opportunities to offer job seekers. Many people find it difficult to identify job opportunities and this event is designed to bring over 200 jobs and career opportunities to job seekers all under the one roof.

Whether you’ve lost your job, are a graduate looking for a placement, if you simply want to up skill or change career there is something for everyone at this free event. ”
