Ógra Fianna Fáil notes 10th Oct
Senator Averil Power, Tim Maher, Greg Moroney and Martina Ryan
Mr. Greg Moroney was presented with the Annual Michael Ryan Boland Award at a recent Ógra event held in Thurles. Greg who is the Deputy Chairperson of the Kevin Barry Cumann in U.C.D. and currently Policy Co-ordinator of North Tipperary Ógra Fianna Fáil hails from Newport and has been active with Ógra Fianna Fáil for the last two years. The Award is presented to a member of North Tipperary Ógra Fianna Fáil who has contributed the most during the year through campaigning and policy formation. The Award is named after the late Michael Ryan Boland, Drombane, former Chairman of North Tipperary Comhairle Dáil Ceantair and mentor to the members of Ógra over a long number of years. Mr. Ryan has left an indelible mark on the party in North Tipperary and members wanted to do something to remember his memory. Tim Maher, Ógra Youth organiser, sponsored a piece of handmade Tipperary Crystal as a perpetual trophy.
