Irish music sensation records Songs to Save a Life in aid of Samaritans

Talented music sensation, Katie Kim, fromWaterford, is among the big names to have recorded a unique album, Songs to Save a Life, in aid of Samaritans. Also featured on the album are KT Tunstall, James Morrison and Sophie Ellis-Bextor who have recorded a collection of original tracks and inspirational covers.
The 11-track album will be available for download from October 3,andincludes music from The Overtones, Ed Harcourt, Jay James Picton, Lucie Silvas, Jon Allen, Graham Gouldman of 10cc and Queen Orlenes.
Like Samaritans, music can play an important role in helping make a connection and give strength to people struggling to cope. Each artist donated their time because they felt very close to the cause, choosing songs of significant meaning

Katie Kim, who now resides in Dublin, talking about supporting Samaritans said: “It was an honour to be included on this compilation. We can’t underestimate how it feels for someone to open the flood gates and unravel what has been suffocating them.”
