ALL IRELAND SENIOR HURLING FINAL
Good luck to the Tipperary senior hurlers and management team for the All Ireland final against Kilkenny on Sunday next, September 4. The team has been prepared well and will represent the county with honour as usual. Nothing will be easy against this fine Kilkenny team but all of Tipperary will be hoping that the Liam MacCarthy Cup can be retained for the first time since 1965. Supporters are reminded that if parking in the vicinity of Croke Park on Sunday to park only in approved spaces or car parks to avoid clamping. We would also ask supporters and businesses to fly the Tipperary colours as much as they can in the lead up to the final.

ALL IRELAND MINOR FOOTBALL FINAL
Dublin defeated Galway in last Sunday’s All Ireland minor football semi-final and qualified to play Tipperary in the All Ireland final on Sunday, September 18. It is a repeat pairing of the 1984 final which was the last final appearance by Tipperary. The senior final between Kerry and Dublin is also a repeat of the 1984 final. Interestingly both Tipperary and Dublin scored 1-11 in their semi-finals and both conceded 12 points, Tipperary 0-12 to Roscommon and Dublin 1-9 to Galway.

Special praise and thanks are due to Denis Floyd who was responsible for compiling and editing the final plan. He did an excellent job that required a lot of research, effort and patience.
SYMPATHY
Tipperary County Board extends its deepest sympathy to Nicholas Moroney, Coaching and Games Development Officer of the Board, on the death of his wife, Mary, on Monday of this week. We also offer our sympathy to their family and friends at this sad time. Their son John was a member of the Tipperary under 21 hurling panel this year.
