New Marshmallow Art Camp runs at Nenagh Arts Centre

Nenagh Arts Centre’s second Marshmallow Arts Camp runs from Monday 15th – Friday 19th of August at Nenagh Arts Centre.

The camp which will run from 10am – 2.30pm each day, is designed for 7-12 year olds and includes music, painting, drawing, crafts and even a few films. Focussing on having fun and learning at the same time, the camp uses works by some famous artists such as Andy Warhol and Pablo Picasso as the basis for workshops encouraging kids to get involved and be creative. Music is performed in interesting group sessions and some classic short films for children will be screened including early Pixar Animations and some of Charlie Chaplin’s short classics.

Brendan Maher at the Arts Centre says: “We had great fun at our camp in July and the August camp will have a range of new projects for the kids to get busy with. We want to give children a top quality experience of the Arts, to encourage their creative side and enhance their understanding of the Arts through a positive and fun series of sessions.”

Places are limited and can be booked in advance from Nenagh Arts Centre, in the Town Hall, Banba Square on 067 34900 or online at www.nenagharts.com. Prices are €80 for the first child and €70 for each additional child.
