The Woodies DIY AAI Juvenile Inter-County & Inter-Club Relays took place in Tullamore Harriers Stadium on Sunday 24th July. Tipperary athletes came away with 4 sets of Inter-County medals when gold was claimed by our Girls U/15 team (Phoebe Murphy, Clonmel A.C., Maria Carey, Newport A.C., Leanne Prout, Carrick- on- Suir A.C., Laura Costello, Aisling O’Donnell & Amy White, Nenagh Olympic A.C.) & Boys U/19 team (Oisin Fitzpatrick, Nenagh Olympic A.C., Daniel Maher, Tipperary Town A.C., Shane O’Dwyer, Carrick-On-Suir A.C., Patrick Lynch, Newport A.C., Mel Corbett, Nenagh Olympic A.C. & Jaco Oosthuysen, Clonmel A.C.) while bronze medals were won by our Girls U/13 team (Olivia Moylan, Nenagh Olympic A.C., Lara O’Dwyer, Tipperary Town A.C., Aoife Doyle & Ciara O’ Flaherty, Carrick-On-Suir A.C., Sara O’ Donnell, Nenagh Olympic A.C. & Annabel Wynne Jones, Templemore A.C.) & our Boys U/15 team (Michael Quilligan, Damon Gregory & Declan Leamy, Nenagh Olympic A.C., Darren Prout, Conor Shelly & Darragh Shelly, Carrick-On-Suir A.C.). The County Clubs also performed well in the Inter-Club Relays with all 4 sets of medals won by Nenagh Olympic A.C. Their Girls U/12 4 x 100m team stormed home to victory & gold while their Girls U/14 4 x 100m, Boys U/15 4 x 100m & Boys U/18 4 x 400m teams all picked up bronze medals. Day 3 of the Woodies DIY National Track & Field Championships took place on Saturday 23rd July. Phoebe Murphy, Clonmel A.C. won gold in the Girls U/14 200m (26.51) making it a golden championships for her as she also won the 80m title two weeks ago. Shane O’Dwyer, Carrick-On-Suir A.C. was in top form winning gold in the Boys U/19 High Jump (1.95m), while silver medals were won by Marie Costello, Borrisokane A.C. in the Girls U/18 3000m Walk (16.21.24) & Oisin Fitzpatrick, Nenagh Olympic A.C. in the Boys U/18 High Jump (1.75m). Nenagh Olympic A.C. made it double bronze in the Girls & Boys U/17 Javelin competition with Caroline Morgan throwing 23.28m & Dan Finnerty 45.59m. Congratulations & well done to all.

The Munster Juvenile “B” Track & Field Championships took place on Sunday 17th July in Templemore Track. Tipperary athletes from 9 different Clubs performed very well to win 47 medals in total (14 gold, 20 silver & 13 bronze. Results of medal winners can be found below.
