On Saturday 25th June, the AAI Juvenile Team Games for U/9 to U/11 took place in Templemore Track. All credit is due to Martin Leyden, Templemore A.C. & his hardworking team who had the Track & Grounds in immaculate condition for this event. It showed Tipperary in a very positive light & demonstrated that the County is capable of hosting more AAI competitions in the future.  A new state of the art microphone system was also installed which ensured that everyone was clued into what was happening next & all results could be clearly heard.  Lots of hard work went into hosting this event & all ran like clockwork on the day (except for the damp start but Martin even tamed the weather by providing a mini-heatwave in the afternoon just in time for the relays). Many thanks to Martin & his team. Tipperary had 18 teams taking part in the Team Events on the day winning a grand total of 10 sets of National medals (4 gold, 3 silver & 3 bronze).
