ISPCC Charity Cycle Dubliners Calling All LIMERICK Cyclists to Rise to the Challenge

Last Sunday, 19th June over 50 cyclists took to the roads and cycled the scenic Dublin Bay route from Bray to Howth and back again all in aid of the ISPCC mentoring services.  The ISPCC cycle, is proudly supported by Capita, Ireland’s leading outsourcing company.

The ISPCC is now calling all cycling enthusiasts in Limerick, Clare and Tipperary to rise to the challenge and take part in the second ISPCC cycle this Sunday 26th June from Limerick, Killaloe, Clareglens, Glenstall and back to Limerick again.

All the funds raised from this years cycle event will go towards the ISPCC mentoring services which provides positive role models and support to children and families nationwide.  Due to increased demand, the ISPCC’s mentoring services are currently operating waiting lists in a number of locations. Funds raised from the ISPCC Charity Cycle will allow the ISPCC to train more volunteers to work with vulnerable children and families who desperately need our support.

The 2011 ISPCC Charity Cycle is not a race; people of all levels of fitness are encouraged to take part in a great, positive day out which will help countless children and young people all over Ireland.

There is a registration fee of €40 which includes a full safety check, a cycle jersey and food stops!

The ISPCC receives less than 10% government funding for their services. All participants are also encouraged to raise further funds through sponsorship for the ISPCC’s mentoring services.  Anyone returning a minimum of €200 before the 8th July will be in with a chance to win a trip for two to see the final of the Tour de France in Paris at the end of July.

For more details and to register to take part in this event call Suzanne on 061 400077 or log on to www.ispcc.ie/cycle.
