Tipperary County Athletics News
Congratulations to Evan Lynch, Clonmel A.C. who achieved the World Qualification Standard in the Walk for the World Youth Track & Field Championships later this year. Evan achieved his qualifying time on Saturday 21st May while taking part in the European Cup of Race Walking in Olhao, Portugal. He was part of the Irish Junior team & finished his race in a personal best time of 47mins 8 seconds, two seconds inside the World Youth Qualification Standard. Evan is the 2nd Clonmel athlete to achieve a World & European Standard in the last 2 weeks with Sean Tobin achieving both standards in the 3000m at the AAI Games in Morton Stadium on Sunday 15th May.
