Come Join the Cabaret, ‘Somewhere Under The Rainbow’ at The Source

It’s all showbiz at The Source Arts Centre on Saturday 4th of June, when the story of Liza Minnelli is brought to the stage. Somewhere Under the Rainbow stars Sharon Sexton in this glorious tribute evening. Featuring some of Liza’s most well known songs such as Mein Herr, Some People, Cabaret, Stepping Out and New York, this promises to be a fantastic high energy performance.

Somewhere Under the Rainbow is not just a tribute show featuring the songs of the iconic star. Sharon virtually becomes Liza and brings us in to all the dark corners of her life. Along with the musical theatre sensation, Tony award winner and Oscar nominated actress there were the battles with alcohol and chemical dependency. As the daughter of Judy Garland, Liza had some very big shoes to fill. Some would say it was an impossible task that left her scarred and forever trying to live up to a standard that was simply unachievable.

Liza Minnelli’s story is essentially one of survival in the face of adversity. She has brought joy to millions through her music and performance and has achieved iconic status in her life. Why not come down to The Source, sing along with her anthems and celebrate that life?

Somewhere Under the Rainbow is at The Source Arts Centre on Saturday 4th June at 8.00pm. Tickets €18 / €16 concession.
