Biodiversity event “Oh Mama I Love Nature, Let’s go Outside”. to include wildlife fun/games, guided walks and talks to be held on Sunday, 29th May, 2009 at 3pm in Toomevara.

Programme of events:

1) Wildlife fun and games for kids with Katy Egan and Jane Kelleher.

2) Guided walk along hedgerows with Tom Gallagher

3) Study of the wildflowers and grasses in the meadows with a choice of botanists

4) Identification of moths trapped on the farm the previous night by an expert in that field

Fun for children of all ages. The event is free

People planning to attend are encouraged to be outside the Catholic Church in Toomevara at 2.45pm on Sunday 29th, to be guided to the farm. The wildlife fun/games and guided walks start at 3pm and run until around 6pm. Tea/coffee and cake etc is provided

The event, which will be hosted by Sean O’Farrell at his farm in Toomevara, is a joint initiative between North Tipperary An Taisce and the newly formed Tipperary branch of the Irish Wildlife Trust
