Smart Knowledge – Ensuring your good idea becomes a market reality

Tipperary North County Enterprise Board in association with FRUITION www.fruition.ie invite you to seven information sessions that will help you bring new product and service ideas to the market. This programme is aimed at existing firms seeking to add value to their business by enhancing a current service or developing a new product concept. Individual tasks will be assigned and supported by Mentoring or Consultancy where a need exists. Participants will be expected to contribute €100.00 for the workshop series and firms will be liable for up to 50% of Consultants costs outside of the Programme.

Restricted to 10 qualifying firms who may bring key personnel to workshop sessions.

Session 1: Information Evening, Tuesday, 19th April, 6 to 8pm

• Hands on group work that will show you how to add value to goods and services

• An insight into the steps involved in commercializing your new product or service idea

• Time with Fruition to help us understand your needs and your suitability to the programme

• Cost: €100 per company

Session 2: Tues April 26th: Driving Innovation in your Business. A close look at your services & products. How to better understand your value proposition (the bundle of services, products and processes that make up your business). A look at what differentiates you over your competitors. Session 3: Wed 11th May: Creativity & Knowledge. How to focus your team on generating new business ideas, what to do with a new product or service idea and how simple innovations can add value to goods and services. Trainer: Sean McNulty www.innovator.ie

Session 4: Wed 25th May: Exploring the Route to Market: Research tips for understanding market segments and the needs of customers within each segment. Tips for prioritising the user in the design of new products and services. Trainer: Tony McCarthy of www.strategy.ie

Session 5: Wed 8th June: Service & Product Prototyping: Arming owner managers with an insight into the new product or service development process. Topics will include managing a design brief; market testing and compliance; costing a product or service to market launch. Trainer: Duncan McInnes of d-wise www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/Duncan/Mcinnes

Session 6: Wed 22nd June: Assessing Risk: A close look at the return on investment ROI– crunching the numbers and understanding the technological, logistical and financial implications of new service and product development. Trainer: Sean McNulty www.innovator.ie

Session 7: Wed 6th July: Brand Innovation, PR & Market Launch Effective reputation building, tips on public relations management and marketing. Tips on preparing a unique market launch. Trainer: Martin Crotty www.bfk.ie
