2010 Hurler of the Year Lar Corbett launches new business
Tipperary senior hurler Lar Corbett launched his new business today (Tuesday, April 5, 2011) at Coppinger’s Bar, Parnell St., Thurles, County Tipperary.
Lar Corbett’s Bar @ Coppinger’s Bar will be officially opened by former Tipperary senior hurling team manager Liam Sheedy at 8pm on Saturday, April 16, with Paul Collins of Today FM acting as MC on the night.
2010 Hurler of the Year and two-time All-Ireland SHC medallist Lar Corbett was present at Coppinger’s bar to announce details of his new business.
Tipperary’s 2010 All-Ireland winning captain Eoin Kelly and fellow county star Pádraic Maher, a Thurles Sarsfields clubmate of Corbett’s, were also in attendance.
Corbett said: “These are difficult economic times for everybody. I’m not the only player on the Tipperary panel currently out of work. But there is an opportunity here to start a new business with Kevin Coppinger.
“It means that I can stay at home and continue to hurl for my club Thurles Sarsfields and Tipperary.”
