The Tipperary North County Enterprise Board Invites Entries For The 2010 National Enterprise Awards

The County & City National Enterprise Awards will be held in Dublin Castle in November with the overall winner announced at a black-tie gala dinner.  All County and City Enterprise Boards may put forward their County Winner to compete at the National event.  The Competition was introduced in 1997 to recognise the contribution made by small firms to the Irish economy.  Past winners include Crossogue Preserves, Digino Marketing, Cooleeney Cheese, Brenwood Products etc.

Competition entrants must be current clients of the CEB who employ ten (10) or less staff and who have not received grants from other sources.  Businesses who have received Measure 2 support only from the CEB will not be eligible to enter and previous County winners cannot be re-nominated.

At National level the competition carries a prize fund of €23,000 – the Winner will receive €5,000, the new Start Up category winner €3,000, the Export Business Award €3,000 and each of the 8 finalists, who will be selected from a potential pool of 30 County winners, will receive €1,500.  Start–up businesses have been defined by the organisers as those businesses in operation for three years or less.

If you would like more information or would like to request an entry form for the National Enterprise Awards please contact the Tipperary North County Enterprise Board, Connolly Street, Nenagh 067-33086 or e-mail info@tnceb.ie.  Details of the North Tipperary County winner must be furnished to the National Competition organisers by the end of September and therefore the closing date for receipt of entries is Friday 17th September.
