The village of Lorrha is set to rock to a great beat on Sunday, August 1. From 2 pm until late there will be music, food, fun and games. There are so many activities planned for throughout the day – there will definitely be something to suit everyone.
Musically the highlight will be 7 against Reeves – regulars will be delighted to hear! This Tipperary-based hard rockin’ 3 piece are always such a popular group. Lots of other supporting groups, including local musicians, will be displaying their musical prowess and entertaining us.
Fun and games will include a Bucking Bronco, horseshoe throwing, barman’s race, tug of war and wellie throwing and, many, many, other surprises.
Come along and be prepared to join in the fun!
And to add to the lunacy of Lorrha Lughnasa, there will be the people’s vote of Lady Mayoress….. but wait there are no ladies! Come and see….. Vote and laugh…..
If that wasn’t enough there will be a spit roast – hog and lamb.
There will be a raffle with the terrific prize of a weekend away for two, plus many more prizes.
All proceeds from the day will go to the hospice.
