‘Tavern’s Got Talent’ Reaches Semi-Final stage

The Wild Card night was held last Friday 9th April in The Tavern, Ballinderry, providing an excellent nights entertainment to all present. 5 acts opted to avail of the Wild Card oppurtunity and it was obvious that they all had worked very hard since their previous apperance.
Taking part were Damien Nolan (Rearcross), Cora Coen (Ballinderry), Bridget Maher (Roscrea), Liz Mitchell (Roscrea) and Greg Star (Aglish). All shone with their performances, and all of then had at least one new song. The judges praised their committment in improving their peformance and in taking part in the wild card night.
After a night of a very high standard of performance, the winner of the Audience vote was Greg Star, who rocked the house with Mustang Sally. Greg was also the judges 1st place and 2nd place went to Liz Mitchell who impressed in particular with I’m Gonna Get You (Shania Twain). It was then announced that only 3 marks separated 3rd, 4th, and 5th places, and in light of that, and the exceptional standard reached, they decided to allow all 5 acts through to the semi-final. This was met with approval by all!
Semi-Finals take place this Thursday 15th and Friday 16th. There will be 10 acts each night, and the result will not be reached until Friday night, when the best 10 over the 2 nights will progress to the Final to be held on Friday 23rd. There’s sure to be a packed house this Thursday and Friday so come along early to secure a seat! Doors open at 8.30 pm and show commences at 9pm. Once again the audience vote will play an important part in the procedure, so come along to The Tavern, Ballinderry and be part of it!
