Thurles Parents & Friends of People with Special Needs was founded over 30 years ago and continues to support our special people into the 21st Century. Last year’s well attended Christmas party was a fabulous success. The monthly Respite Saturday has recommenced following the winter break while the information evenings will continue during the year. Our week long Summer Camp will benefit greatly from the funding garnered from this Better Ireland project when we hope to have new and greater adventures available to all our summer campers, going forward.
The Group now has the chance to win a share of the €10,000 from AIB Thurles and needs the public text vote to top the poll for €5,000! So what do the local community need to do to give Thurles Parents & Friends of People with Special Needs a great chance to win?

Chairperson, Evelyn Nevin says;
“We are delighted to be in the running for this award from AIB Thurles through the AIB Better Ireland Programme. Funds raised will guarantee another funfilled week of events for the Summer Camp in August. But we really need the local community to vote for us. Winning the first prize of €5,000 would allow us to continue the work we do for the children of our local community so I would ask everyone in the area to get texting please to ensure we top the poll.”
