Info Evenings on Sustainable Energy Communities in Clonmel, Cashel and Roscrea

Three Information Workshops for community groups in Tipperary are being held in Clonmel, Cashel and Roscrea to explain the financial and technical supports available under the new ‘Sustainable Energy Communities’ (SEC) Network. The events will take place at 7.30pm at the following dates and venues:

Clonmel Community Resource Centre, (Kickham Street) on Wednesday, September 13th;

Halla na Féile, Cashel on Thursday, September 14th;

The information events will explain the benefits of the SEC, which is open to community groups of all kinds across Ireland, whether communities of interest, of locality, or even a number of local groups wishing to work together. Sustainable Energy Communities (SEC) is a programme being run by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland. By becoming a member of the SEC Network, groups can access mentoring, as well financial and technical support to identify and plan energy related project in their communities.  The objective is to save money and create local jobs through energy efficiency, and the use of local suitable renewable energy sources.


Tipperary Energy Agency, North Tipperary LEADER Partnership & Ballyhoura Development are working in partnership to support communities in the Mid-West under this programme.
