Audi Ireland Achieves Record July Sales With Expanded Dealer Network

  • Doubling of employee numbers reflects “increasing demand for the Audi brand”
  • 35% year-on-year increase on the first month of sales for the 152-reg period
  • Audi’s A1, A3 and A6 models recording strong sales

Audi Ireland, the country’s number one premium car brand, today reported a record first month of sales for the 152-reg period.

In what is becoming one of the busiest times of year for car sales in Ireland, a total of 1,012 Audi cars were sold in July, up 35% on the same period in 2014.

Audi continues to build on its position as the most popular premium car brand in the country through sustained investment in its dealership network.

As part of this continued investment, the Audi dealer network has more than doubled the size of its team across Ireland from 130 employees in 2011 to c. 300 employees as of July of this year, reflecting the growth in business across sales and aftersales.

Building on the brand’s record-breaking sales in the first half of the year, Audi’s A1, A3 and A6 performed particularly well in the first month of the 152-reg period, with 591 cumulative units sold.

Commenting on Audi’s July sales, Christian Gussen, Managing Director of Audi Ireland, said: “We are pleased to experience such a strong first month of sales for the 152-reg period.  The consumer remains discerning, and places great emphasis on quality and innovation.

“Audi’s sustained growth is testament to the investment decisions taken both centrally and at dealership level, particularly in expanding our dealer network teams. Our focus is on delivering best-in-class in-car technology, driver experience and customer service,” said Mr Gussen.
