Family Fun in Aglish at Stepping Stones Féile

Brendan Hough of the Village Inn is backing the Aglish Team in this weekend’s Stepping Stones Féile hurling blitz.

The Stepping Stones Féile in Aglish is set to become one of the most child and youth friendly events in the country after the organising committee has announced a new initiative for families.

All children’s activities in their Family Fun event will be free next Sunday and anyone under 18 years in the company of an adult will be admitted free to the flagship concert featuring The Kilkennys later that evening.

Féile Chairperson Pat Hogan explains the thinking behind the decision,

“We’ve had great support from the community and crucial financial support from North Tipperary LEADER Partnership & North Tipperary Local Authority so we want to give something back and ensure that families can enjoy the events without going broke in the process.

“This means a family of two parents and three children can enjoy The Kilkennys and other acts for a total price of €20 for two tickets instead of having to shell out €50. All activities in the Family Fun day will also be free.”

There is a packed programme of events in Aglish, culminating on the Sunday night with an Open Air Music Fest headlined by The Kilkennys and supported by Rock Band Origin and an 80s disco with Tipp FM’s Aidan Mac.

The community has been supported and funded by North Tipperary LEADER Partnership for a range of projects including the Féile and the refurbishment of the village hall that will have its reopening on Saturday night.

Full details of times and events for the Stepping Stones Féile Gathering in Aglish are available on the Aglish Stepping Stones facebook page, by emailing or by phoning 087 6005417.
