Aglish Old School Project – Update

At the moment work has slowed a little bit – but not a lot, not as much activity around the hall everyday as our Builders – Ken Gleeson – Curraghmore Carpentry, Plumber – Stephen Brennan, Electrician – Eoin Reddan & Tiler – Mike Gavin Tiger Tiles have all finished, we are now down to the nitty gritty of getting everywhere tidied,  this will see the committee & lots of locals pulling up there sleeves to get the hall in shape for our grand opening.

Our latest project to bring a bit of excitement to the village is ….. we have a picture entered onto the O2 website, to try & get the Irish Rugby team down to record there next TV advert for O2. Obviously this means we need votes – you only have to follow the simple steps.

This all came about from the group doing Operation Transformation which has turned out to be a huge success in Aglish with the group losing a combined weight of 55 ½ stone.

This is a fabulous achievement, and according to a spokesperson from RTE, The Aglish Village People were one of the most popular groups to take part. The group will continue to meet every 2nd Sunday in the hall after mass at10am and meeting Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evening for walking. There are plans to hold another “Boot Camp” in the next couple of weeks. Keep an eye on our Facebook Page AGLISH OLD SCHOOL PROJECT  we will post when events are taking place.
