President Mary McAleese will visit West Tipperary on Sat 4th September 2010. She will begin her visit in Emly or in ‘Imleach lubhair’ (the border of the lake of the yew trees), to mark the town’s commendable achievement of being awarded Ireland’s tidiest town in 2009 - no easy feat given 720 towns entered the competition!
