Two Tipperary families feature on TG4’s hit family talent show, Réalta Agus Gaolta

Two highly talented Tipperary families feature on this weeks edition of TG4’s hit Sunday night entertainment series Réalta agus Gaolta onSunday April 28th 2019, at 8.30pm as they are on the lookout for Ireland’s most talented family. The Fitzgerald Brothers from Cashel andCatherine McVicker and her daughter Caitlín from Clonmel, are in the running to be crowned Ireland’s most talented family.

From Crystal Swing to Clannad, the Irish family has entertained us throughout the decades. Talented Irish families have excelled in their particular genres, whether it’s the pop music of The Corrs or the sean-nos dancing of the Cunninghams. Now it’s time to find the next family that will entertain the nation.
They will be singing, dancing and banging out the tunes, as they go head-to-head against each other to win the opportunity to play live on stage supporting world famous Kíla in their National Stadium Concert in front of thousands, along with a cash prize of €3,000.
Hosted by Síle Seoige, the series will see over 70 acts battle it out to impress our judges, Irial O Ceallaigh, musician and TV personality, Sinéad Ní Uallacháin broadcaster with Raidió na Gaeltachta and Jim Lockhart, member of the Irish rock band “Horslips”.

Episode six airs on the 28th of April, 8.30pm on TG4, everything from rock & roll and sean nós, to power ballads and more – The series has it all but there can only be one winner – this episode features the following families:

MEET THE JUDGES:

Irial O Ceallaigh: Champion sean nós singer. Irial was born into traditional singing with his family in An Rinn and in 2018 won the men’s sean nos singing competition at the Oireachtas.

Sinéad Ní Uallacháin: Radio producer and broadcaster with Raidió na Gaeltachta with the inside track on what people want when it comes to entertainment.

Jim Lockhart: A member of the Irish rock band “Horslips”. With almost 50 years experience in the music business, Jim knows what it takes to entertain a crowd!

Beidh dhá chlann cumasach as Tiobraid Árainn le feiceáil ar Réalta agus Gaolta, sraith siamsaíochta TG4, ar an Domhnach an 28 Aibreán ag 8.30pm. Tá na Deartháireacha Fitzgerald as an gCaiseal agus Catherine McVicker agus a h-iníon Caitlín as Cluain Mealago láidir san iomaíocht agus TG4 sa tóir arís i mbliana ar an teaghlach is cumasaí in Éirinn.

Ó Crystal Swing go Clannad, tá teaghlaigh na hÉireann ag cur siamsaíocht ar fáil leis na blianta. Tá cáil ar fud an domhain ar theaghlaigh as Éirinn i seánraí éagsúla mar The Corrs i saol an phopcheoil nó muintir Cunningham sa damhsa ar an sean-nós. Tá sé in am anois teacht ar an gcéad teaghlach eile a chuirfidh siamsaíocht ar fáil don tír.
Beidh siad ag gabháil fhoinn, ag damhsa agus ag ceol, iad ar fad in aghaidh a chéile chun deis a fháil casadh beo ar stáitse in éineacht le Kíla ag ceolchoirm sa Staid Náisiúnta os comhair na mílte chomh maith le duais airgid €3,000 a bhuachan.
Beidh 70 teaghlach ar fad páirteach sa tsraith a chuirfidh Síle Seoige i láthair, iad ar fad ag iarraidh dul i gcion ar na moltóirí – Irial Ó Ceallaigh, amhránaí agus pearsa teilifíse, Sinéad Ní Uallacháin, craoltóir le Raidió na Gaeltachta agus Jim Lockhart, duine den “Horslips”, banna rac-cheoil as Éirinn.
An 28 Aibreán ag 8.30 pm a chraolfar an séú clár sa tsraith ar TG4 – ar a mbeidh gach ní ó racanról go sean-nós, bailéid chorraitheacha agus tuilleadh. Ní bheidh ann ach aon bhuaiteoir amháin. Bí linn go bhfeicfidh tú an teaghlach is cumasaí in Éirinn!

Irial Ó Ceallaigh: Amhránaí sean-nóis Ní ón ngaoth ná ón ngrian a thug Irial an sean-nós ach óna mhuintir sa Rinn agus in 2018 bhuaigh sé Comórtas na bhFear ag an Oireachtas.

 

Sinéad Ní Uallacháin: Léiritheoir agus craoltóir raidió le Raidió na Gaeltachta agus gach eolas aici ar a mbíonn ó dhaoine ó thaobh na siamsaíochta.

 

Jim Lockhart: Duine den bhanna rac-cheoil as Éirinn “Horslips”. Tá beagnach 50 bliain caite ag Jim i saol an cheoil agus fios go díreach aige ar a dteastaíonn chun siamsaíocht a chur ar fáil do shlua!
