The track in Borrisoleigh should be a hive of activity on Friday 23rd of February when Shanahan’s Centra, Scoil Naomh Cualan and Track-Attack combines together to create the perfect trilogy of recreational and sporting activity.

On the night, Scoil Naomh Cualan will be seeking to obtain their Activity Flag. To be part of this achievement, you just need to turn up and run, jog or walk 3km in an event entitled “Get Active with Scoil Naomh Cualan”. It is purely a fun event, there will be no timing of participants.

Local business people Sean and Marie Shanahan of Shanahan’s Centra Live Every Day have come on board and have very generously sponsored the event.

The event begins at 7:30pm with registration beginning at 6:30pm in the Park Pavilion. The entry fee is €5 for adults, €2 for secondary school students while all primary school students are free of charge. All proceeds will be donated to Scoil Naomh Cualan on the night.

The students of Scoil Naomh Cualan will all be selected into teams and on the night, the winning team will receive the “Scoil Naomh Cualan Get Active” Cup. The top 3 teams will also receive a fantastic hand crafted Irish slate medal which was designed and produced by Christy Slattery of Latteragh Crafts. The post-race presentation will be held in the Parish Centre and will be organised by both Track-Attack and the Parents Association of Scoil Naomh Cualan.

If you wish to experience the Track-Attack atmosphere, then this is the perfect opportunity. All are welcome to attend so just dust the cobwebs from the runners and head to the Borrisoleigh track on Friday the 23rd for a 3km under lights.
