Growing up in picturesque Upperchurch, Alan was surrounded by inspiration from an early age. His work features many references to rural landscapes and the natural world. He spent 110 days in Goa, India where he met a wide variety of colourful characters and gained a new perspective on life, which altered his creative direction. Alan’s art style leaves the interpretation open to the viewer. This approach means that Alan does not lead the observer to any particular conclusion, but instead encourages them to find something they identify with.

For these days was opened by Cllr Jim Ryan on the 31st of January who gave a heart warmed speech to an incredible crowd of over 80 people. Half of the exhibited pieces have already found loving new homes.
