Tipp Student Brian Melbourne Wins Tralee IT Student of the Year Award

Almost 1,000 students graduated recently at the IT Tralee Graduation Ceremonies at the Brandon Hotel, Tralee. During the ceremonies, four graduates of the BSc Agricultural Science and BSc Agricultural Engineering courses were presented with Outstanding Student of Year awards from Dairymaster.

These awards were presented by Dr. John Daly, Research & Innovation Manager at Dairymaster. The lucky recipients were; Brian O Sullivan and John Smith, who graduated with a BSc (Ord) in Agricultural Science and Agricultural Engineering. Awards were also presented to BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Science and Agricultural Engineering graduates Patrick Dillane and Brian Melbourne.

Brian Melbourne (Agri Engineering) is from  Giantsgrave, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. Growing up he had a keen interest in agriculture and machinery.  Member of Macra na Feirme.  Experience of working on a dairy farm. His career plans are to progress within design engineering in the agricultural engineering sector.
