Deirdre Clune MEP meets with LIT Tipperary Campus students

Deirdre Clune MEP met with students and Martin Fitzgerald from the Department of Applied Social Science, Limerick IT Tipperary Campus, Thurles in the European Parliament in Brussels on Tuesday, November 15th.

The group were in parliament as part of the European Parliament Visitors programme, and MEP Clune was delighted to meet with them to speak about the work of the European Parliament and her role as an MEP.

“We had an interesting discussion on a wide range of topics, including the different roles of an MEP and a TD, and what role the parliament plays within the wider context of the European Institutions. We also discussed current events of the past few weeks such as the US Presidential election, and the challenges Ireland faces over the next number of years as a result of Brexit.
