Kiladangan Cycling Challenge goes Global There is also a fun event for those who want to take part on high nellies and there will be some available for hire.

This event is running for the second year. It was hugely successful last year and this year organisers are hoping to make it even more successful. The charity being supported by the event this year is Pieta House. There are 5 routes for cyclists on the day, there is a 10k, 25k, 50k, 80k & 120k which means it caters for families & children, for people who may not usually cycle and for the more serious cyclists too. Some of the cyclists come to test out the routes for the Nenagh Classic race which runs the following week!

The routes are really scenic around the Lakeside taking in towns and villages from Ballina to Portumna, Dromineer and so on.

Kiladangan Cycling Challenge goes Global There are also several pit stops, with local people providing free food for the cyclists. This went down a treat last year and is something organisers want to do again this year.
