Nenagh Ladies Basket ball March 8thCounty Meeting

There will be a North Tipperary Macra na Feirme county meeting this Friday night, March 13th, at 9.30pm in the HiB in Nenagh. All members are encouraged to attend.


Volleyball Competition

The North Tipperary round of  volleyball will take place this Friday night at  at 8pm in the Nenagh Arena, Nenagh. There will be mixed teams and all North Tipperary clubs are encouraged to have a team(s) play on the night.

at members who attended last Friday night’s meeting in the Clodagh Bar, Borrisoleigh. The next county meeting will take place on Friday March 13th  in Nenagh. Further details will follow next week.

North Tipperary Macra na Feirme would like to congratulate Frank Hayes on his fantastic win in a charity boxing match held recently in Thurles. Also best wishes are extended to Mary Joyce, Eamonn Joyce, Joe Mc Grath, Con Mc Grath, and  Ailise Burke as they enter into their final weeks rehearsal of “It’s the Real McCoy” which will take to stage in Clonmore Community hall next weekend.

Basketball Success for Nenagh Ladies

  • Nenagh Macra na Feirme would like to say congratulations and well done to Nenagh Macra ladies on winning their basketball match on Sunday in Clonmore.



Table Quiz Fundraiser

  • Nenagh Macra na Feirme are hosting a table quiz fundraiser on Monday the 16th March in Rocky Sullivan’s in Nenagh at 9 p.m. Since it’s the night before St Patrick’s day, Nenagh Macra na Feirme will have a prize for the best dressed in green on the night. The cost is€5 per person. There will be great spot prizes on the night and all are welcome.



Devil’s Bit Macra na Feirme


  • On Sunday February 22nd Devil’s Bit Macra na Feirme held a tractor run in aid of Down Syndrome Tipperary. The run started in Clonmore and travelled over 40 kilometres through Templetuohy, Castleiney, Templemore and onto Clonakenny where it finished with refreshments in the Norebrook Lounge. Over fifty tractors of all makes, ages and sizes took part in the run and €1600 was raised. On Wednesday night last Devil’s Bit Macra na Feirme presented the money raised to members of Down Syndrome Tipperary. Many thanks to all who took part in the run, to the Devil’s Bit Macra na Feirme members who organised the event, to the Norebrook Lounge for providing refreshments at the finish line and to all who gave donations. The tractor run was a huge success and the money raised went to a very worthy cause.



  • Well done to the Devil’s Bit Macra na Feirme ladies who competed in the national rounds of indoor soccer recently. The ladies took part in a team alongside Macra members from other North Tipperary Macra clubs. The ladies played teams from Cork, Carlow and Kilkenny. While they put in a tremendous effort they were unfortunately beaten and did not make the finals. Well done ladies.


  • Congratulations and well done to the ladies basketball team from Devil’s Bit Macra na Feirme who took part in the North Tipperary round of Basketball on Sunday last. The girls played a team from Nenagh but were sadly defeated. Well done for putting in a great effort. Best of luck to Nenagh who now go forward to the national finals.



  • Devils’s Bit Macra na Feirme annual Spring Fling will take place on Saturday March 21st in Fitzpatrick’s Country Club, Clonmore. Tickets cost €15 and include dinner (which will be served at 9p.m) music by Silver Dollar, a D.J.  as well as fantastic door prizes.
