Brewery Lane Backroom Folk Club Sessions returns this October 3rd

 Following on from the success of the Folk Club during the Clancy Brothers’ Music and Arts Festival, the Brewery Lane Theatre will be hosting another such evening of vibrant entertainment in the backroom on Thursday, October 3rd.


The informal folk session will feature musicians, singers and raconteurs from Carrick, Piltown, Faugheen, Windgap and beyond……including

Panie Bartley, Dave Cooney, Marietta O’Keefe, Paddy Walsh, Breege Phelan, Pete MacGowan, Helen Walsh, Jane McLoughlin, Seamus Meade, Tony Fitzgerald and Helen Fitzgerald.

 And it’s an evening where everyone is encouraged to join in, so bring a song, or two, or even a recitation.


The session begins at 8.15pm and tickets are available on the door for €5.

Clonmel Theatre Guild bring Shirley Valentine to Brewery Lane 

Clonmel Theatre Guild are staging SHIRLEY VALENTINE by Willie Russell in Brewery Lane Theatre on Sat 12th and Sun 13th October, 2013

The play is directed by Patricia Harte with Sean Bergin Assistant Director. 


Russell’s hilarious and often poignant masterpiece ‘Shirley Valentine’ tells the story of a bored Liverpool housewife who is fed up been taken for granted by her husband and children. When the offer of a 2 week vacation in Greece comes her way she leaves a note, packs her bags and heads off for some rest and relaxation. What follows is a hilarious fortnight of romance and a new awakening of what life can really be like with a little effort. This story will strike a chord with many.

The title role will be played by Amanda Kirwan with supporting cast J. Meagher, Carol Acheson, Susan Dunne, Carol Clancy, Treasa Philips and David Walsh….
