Limerick’s  Corrigan Brothers and “What’s another Year” , Eurovision song writing winner Shay Healy celebrate the Limerick Hurling team’s summer of excitement.  The song , entitled “  Sporting Limerick-Hurling’s coming Home “  celebrates the Limerick teams achievements as well as past legends of the game. Lead singer Ger Corrigan said, “Shay and ourselves regularly write together and we have appeared on UP for the Match together as well as recording a chart topping song for the Dublin Football team in 2011. After watching the Munster Final on TV Shay called us with a suggestion about a Limerick Hurling song so we got together and recorded it over recent weeks”

The Song already has radio playlist slots on BBC radio UK, Canadian and US as well as Australia Radio stations. “We work with a lot of Irish  Music Radio shows throughout the world and regularly do interviews with them, they are all looking forward to playing the Limerick Song as the story of Limerick Hurling 2013 has captured the imagination of so many Limerick People Living abroad” , Ger continued.

Lyrics

Its coming home its coming home

Its coming

Hurlings coming home

(x4)

Hard to believe its 40 years

Since all the joy and tears

of seventy three

I remember

Those magnificent times

Watching cregan and grimes

And the scores so sublime

By  Joe McKenna

Sporting limericks Back

We’re no longer dreaming

40 years have passed

Never stopped believing

All of the sights and all the sounds

In Limericks Gaelic Grounds

On Munster Final Day

We all remember

The crowd going crazy

As Donal O Grady

Raised the cup to the cheers

This could be Our year

Sporting limericks Back

We’re no longer dreaming

40 years have passed

Never stopped believing

Now in 2013,

We noe Dare to dream

That John Allens team

Oh Bonfires will Flare

In Ahane and Adare

A Limerick Party

For Liam McCarthy

Sporting limericks Back

We’re no longer dreaming

40 years have passed

Never stopped believing

Its coming home its coming home

Its coming

Hurlings coming home

(x4)

Repeat to fade
