Lón Sa Spéir is the remarkable story of the most iconic image of the 20th century

‘Lunch atop a Skyscraper’ taken on the 69th floor of the Rockafeller Building. Shot by

Charles Ebbetts in 1932, the photograph features a number of Irishmen who worked

on the building. The film investigates the history of this famous image, and

traces the life stories of the Irish men that are identified as having been there.

Director Seán Ó Cualáin will attend the screening.

 

Patrons Note! Programme starts with Tony O’Donaghue’s Sundance award-winning

short film Irish Folk Furniture. Cheese/Wine Reception at Rocky’s, Kickham St, 7pm.
