North Tipperary Macra

On Friday night last the Monthly meeting of the North Tipperary county executive took place in Quinlan’s Pub, Moyne and was hosted by the local Moyne/Templetuohy club. A cheque presentation was held for the “relay for life” fundraiser held earlier in the year. Padraig Moran and Imelda Walsh were on hand to accept a cheque for €3044.12 from the North Tipp Macra committee and thanked them all for their efforts in this regard. The team captain Sarah Guilfoyle congratulated everyone on making the event a huge success. The fantastic team spirit showed by north tipp was evident especially in the long hours of the night and into the morning, the fact that we raised such a substantial sum of money made it all the more worthwhile. She added that we hope to have a team there next year as it is a great cause and way of promoting awareness of cancer.

Following the meeting a quiz was also held in Quinlan’s and the Moyne/Templetuohy club would like to thank all those who came to support the event as it was a great success and fun was had by all. The Ballinahinch-Killoscully club will hold their Christmas party in the Bonnan Bui on Saturday 15th December and there will also be a best Xmas jumper competition on the night, so get those ridiculous jumpers out!
