Another very exciting year of dance has begun at Flynn O’Kane Academy of Dance

September is here and another very exciting year of dance has begun at Flynn O’Kane Academy of Dance!! Bernadette and Damien have really achieved the goals and aims that are so important for their Academy which has gone from strength to strength. Their students are growing a real passion for dance while also learning the art of performance. This year’s Flynn O’Kane Summer Dance Camp proved to be a huge success with the end of camp show being testament to what they are working towards.
On the competitive scene, their students have really excelled in the world of Irish Dance. At Easter this year they had their first medal holder at the World Irish Dance Championships and in May had their first Irish National Championship title. In March next year five of their students will travel to Boston USA to compete in the 2013 World Irish Dance Championships.

Bernadette and Damien also managed to keep their ties with Lord of the Dance this summer when they were invited to dance the lead roles in the hit show ‘Feet of Flames’. This supercharged version of Lord of the Dance with over one hundred dancers, toured Taiwan and played to stadium audiences over the two week tour.
At Flynn O’Kane Academy there is something for everyone whether that be dancing for fun and fitness or dancing competitively!! Bernadette and Damien have a huge passion for dance and it is evident how their positive energy and enthusiasm is being passed on to each and every one of their students. Classes take place in Nenagh, Thurles, Roscrea & Newtown. New students are welcome from 4 years+.
