“Morris congratulates the North Tipperary Emerging Talent programme”

Over the last few weeks the North Tipperary Emerging talent programme has led to players from North Tipperary being recognised by Irish English and Scottish clubs. This weekend Nenagh A F C player Cían Darcy from Cloughjordan starred for Reading F C in the Coca Cola cup in Dublin scoring in the semi final against The Irish u 16 team and starring in the Final against West Bromich Albion. Today Tommy Holland from Ardcroney and Jamie Bergin from Templemore guest for Saint Johnston from Scotland in a tournament in Donegal. This is added to Templemore players Stevie Nolan making the national Emerging Talent squad and Mikey Greed on trials for the National u 16 team. Three ex Nenagh A.F.C players James McGrath Aiden Boyle and Nathan Kelly have joined Limerick F C . All of these players have gone through the emerging talent programme run by North Tipperary Development officer James Scott and his team who have transformed soccer in North Tipperary with their dedication to their coaching skills and dedication to playing the game in the correct manner. The North Tipperary Development officer is part funded by North Tipperary County Council and the F A I.

I would like to finish by wishing Nenagh A F C the best of luck of Friday where they are down to just 8 clubs for the F A I club of the year.  Yours sincerely Cllr. Séamie Morris
