Nenagh Eire OG Camogie Club Notes Sponsored by Nenagh Credit Union

U 8s are training on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30. Our Girls had a great day out at the County blitz over in the Ragg. Thanks again to County Development officer Pat Sheridan for the running of these blitzes

U/10’s are training on Mondays and Thursdays 5:30 to 6:30. There are Blitzes being arranged for the summer months so please keep coming to training for the times and dates.

U12’s. The U/12s are training on a Monday and Thursday Evening.  Best of Luck to all the Girls who are playing for their schools in the U/11 and U/13 Schools County finals in Semple Stadium this Thursday and Friday.

U14s. The U/14s are due to play their County Final hopefully on Tuesday of next week. A delay in the other Semi-Final is holding everything up.  We got there by beating a much fancied Newport Team In our Semi. This was a very tense and exciting game which was decided by a late pointed free by Grace O’Brien. It was a huge effort by all the panel and a similar effort will be needed if we are to have a chance of winning this title .Lots of Support will again be needed.  Best of luck to all concerned. Well done to Hazel Coffey and Emer Ryan who played for Tipperary in the Primary games at Thurles. Our County girls played in the Cork Blitz in Mallow Last weekend. The A team lost to Cork in the Semi Final and the B team lost to Offaly on the Head to head rule for a place in the Final. Well done to Lisa, Niamh, Grace, Clodagh, Rachel and Sarah who played very well on the day.

U/16: We are still training but there will be no matches until after the exams and Best wishes to everyone sitting their Junior Cert.

The junior b are training on Tuesdays and Fridays. This group is also training away but will also have no matches until after the exams. Most of this team is sitting the leaving cert and best of luck to them all in these exams.

Our Community games team took pride of Place this week in winning the County Final against Cashel in Semple Stadium on Monday. They set up this match by beating Ballina in Nenagh Last Thursday. This was a brilliant effort by all sixteen girls on the panel and they now go on to represent Tipperary in the Munster Finals in a couple of Weeks. With all of these girls playing in County Finals for their School and Club in the next few weeks it will be a busy and exciting time for everyone involved.

Yours sincerely Mike Ryan
