Who to Talk to Business Expo May 30th

Thinking of starting, or expanding, a business, then Wednesday 30th May is a date you should put in your diary straight away.   From 4 – 8 p.m. at the North Tipperary County Council Civic Offices on Limerick Road the ‘Who to talk to’ expo will be open to the public and is free to attend.

There are many challenges facing the Irish economy today, with unemployment running at   14.5%, the fifth highest in the EU along with an alarming rate of company failure. Despite the doom, gloom and austerity, the number of newly created companies in 2011 suggests that entrepreneurship remains a strong trait of the Irish workforce.  The North Tipperary County Development Board want to tap into this trait and in an effort to boost entrepreneurship in the county are hosting this landmark event. The  Who to talk to event will feature over 40 information desks/ stands, seminars, workshops, clinics and networking opportunities for anyone looking for advice, grants or merely exploring opportunities. The workshop element will also provide information on some of the new initiatives announced in the recently launched Action Plan for Jobs such as the loan guarantee scheme, micro credit, ConnectIreland etc.

If you have you ever asked

  • Where can I get funding for my business?
  • How do I go about exporting?
  • Could I take on a JobBridge intern?
  • Are there supports available to help the unemployed become self employed?

Then come along to the Civic Offices on 30th May.  Sometimes it is difficult to find the right person or organisation and every agency and organisation that offers help, advice, funding, education and mentoring to small and medium sized enterprises in addition to all the main banks will be there. Do take advantage of the opportunity to find out whatever it is that you need to know.

Check out www.tipperary.com for regular updates in the run up to the event.
